[webmin-l] Webmin-1.300; Usermin..

Hello!

1) No matter what I try, Usermin says it's 1.230.. I've tried downloading/upgrading/whatever.. is it supposed to be 1.230?

2) What DAV credentials should I enter on the client? The same port as Usermin? As webmin? Davs (HTTPS) or Dav (HTTP)? Etc.. I get a failure no matter what I try; I have DAV working against other servers.

3) How do I restrict the Java file manager applet to the users home directory? Is it safe? :-)

1.230 is the latest version .. the Webmin and Usermin versions aren't in sync :)

For usermin's DAV support? You should be able to login just the same as you would
for a normal Usermin login.
Be aware that this is still rather experimental, and I've had problems with some DAV
clients.

In Usermin? Login to Webmin, and go to Usermin Configuration -> Usermin Module Configuration
-> File Manager. On the form that appears, there are fields for limiting users to
their home dir or other dirs.

Hmm.. I've tried that, but when I log-on to usermin with my "test user", I =
can still poke around the file system, klick on files in /etc, etc.

Did you select the 'Allow access to home and directories below..' option?

Yes I did, but then I scrolled down to the bottom of the page and clicked t=
he wrong [Save] button; perhaps an extra blank line or two between those tw=
o sections? :-)
