Created by which module? :-)
They all use different formats .. for example, a MySQL backup is just a sequence
of SQL commands, a PostgreSQL backup can be SQL or in the DB's custom format, and
a filesystem back is either a tar or ext3 dump file.

Good idea .. or you can use Webmin 1.309 or 1.310, which has an option to
gzip the backup file easily.

Just grabbed the rpm. i usually use the webmin update. long time since i 
used rpm's since i found it easier the build from source to get the various 
packages configured how i want.
