Hi Assuming this is a slave DNS for single virtualmin server I should just install new slave DNS and then add it to virtualmin as usual with the option to copy all existing zones. Its also possible to do it when single slave DNS is used for many masters under the condition that there are no overlapping domains on different masters. Even if your slave DNS is out for several hours it should have practically zero impact for clients Your primary must remain operational and there is the problem of delegating domains if there is only single DNS (it might be impossible to delegate new zone to a single DNS server) The master should populate the slave within minutes after its added in virtualmin as a slave.
