I don't want to downgrade MariaDB version. As far as the virtual server is concerned, is there any problem with me creating the database manually logged in as the root user and assigning the virtual server user to the database setting proper permissions? I am guessing that if the virtual server is removed that the database will stay behind but that is OK. I am also guessing that the database will never show up in the virtual server panel.
