Not sure why it didn't find it, but I looked at the module 
configuration, and it had some weird path for the MySQL configuration 
file.

When I manually changed it to /etc/my.cnf and then did a "Refresh 
modules", the MySQL module properly appeared where it should.

(I did not do anything prior to this, it was an out-of-the-box 
installation, albeit Percona instead of MySQL)
