[webmin-l] Allow Virtual Servers to use ProFTPD

<html><head></head><body><div style="font-family: Verdana;font-size: 12.0px;"><div>I am guessing that I just don't have things set up correctly to allow virtual servers to use proFTPD. I am unable to connect by ftp to the virtual server. I have to allow someone else to ftp into the website directory and I don't want them to go through ssh or port 22 and because they can move beyond the website home directory.</div> <div> </div> <div>When trying to connect to proFTPD on port 21; and I even shut the firewall to make sure it was not a firewall issue, I get the following:</div> <div> </div> <div>No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it.<br/> Connection failed.</div> <div> </div> <div>I assume that since proFTPD ships with virtualmin that it can be used to allow ftp connections to virtual servers website directories. Therefore, it must be a user error on my part. So if someone can provide a tutorial on what I need to do to allow virtual servers ftp access I will sign your praise to everyone I meet.</div> <div> </div> <div>-Kimberly</div></div></body></html> |
