Webmin version 1.080 is now available for download from http://www.webmin.com/ and mirror sites. This release includes the following changes : * Added the new ADSL Client module for configuring RP-PPPoE. Thanks to Joe Cooper for sponsoring its development * Added the new Upload and Download module for uploading multiple files to a directory, or downloading multiple URLs immediately or in the background * Included improved Chinese translation updates, contributed by Stephanie Li of ThizLinux * Added support for Redhat 9, SuSE 8.2, FreeBSD 4.8 and Slackware 9.0 * Improved the Network Configuration module to support Redhat-style per-interface gateway specifications, and to allow the applying of the current configuration * Added support for external ACL types in the Squid module * Added an option on the Webmin Modules page for easily selecting and installing a standard module from www.webmin.com. This is most useful if you have installed the new minimal version of Webmin, which comes with only a few modules * All modules that can download URLs (such as Software Packages and Perl Modules) now support https:// URLs * Numerous other small bug fixes and improvements For those people who just want to use a few Webmin modules, a minimal version is also available from http://www.webmin.com/download.html . This contains only the core programs and modules, and so comes in a much smaller tar.gz file. Other modules can be added using the new standard module installation feature mentioned above. Also available is Usermin 1.010, which includes the following changes: * Added support for encrypting files for multiple recipients in the GnuPG module, and sending encrypted email to multiple people in the Read Mail module * For users who can select their From: address in the Read Mail module, added address book support to make defining and selection of common addresses easier * Added a feature to the Procmail module for manually editing the config file * Support for the same new operating systems as Webmin As always, please send me any bug reports or feature suggestions that you might have. - Jamie |
