Aha, the trick is knowing where to look. I always expect the status bar
to show me just the text of a link target, not special messages from
the page. (And I *hate* scrollers, because they obscure that info. ;-)
I would have looked in the <TITLE> text in the titlebar first, as
that's often used to indicate CGI state information.
