[webmin-l] Process Can't Be Killed

WebMin 1.480, Mac OS X 10.5.7

System-> Running Processes-> click the process number and click "Kill" does not kill this (owned by root) process.

In the process list, the process name is parenthesized after the kill attempt, but still running. What does that mean? How do I kill such a process?
