Yes, this is a little confusing on Ubuntu systems (or any other than doesn't have a root password). On systems where some users can sudo to root and run any command, Webmin allows you to login as these users - but your actual username as far as Webmin is concerned for module grant and permission purposes is 'root'. > At the same time the 'New module grants' 'Default behavior - grant new > modules to root or admin' so which one in this case: root or admin? the system > root user doesn't belong to the system admin group and the system user that > belongs to the admin group is not a webmin user. Can you please clarify It is supposed to grant to the Webmin user root or admin, whichever exists. At least, that is what happens for me :) - Jamie |
