I'm having a problem relating to postfix when I add a new virtual server = in virtualmin. I've added 10 or so virtual servers and everything has been fine. The trying to add another I get an error: ---------- Creating home directory .. . done Creating Unix group campbell .. . done Creating Unix user campbell .. . done Failed to create virtual server : Filename contains invalid characters ---------- The step after "Creating Unix user" is the Postfix configuration for the domain. This is where the problem occurs. The domain, username and passwo= rd for the virtual server I was tring to add contained only alphanumeric characters (the domain & username contained only letters; the password ha= d letters and digits). After this error, Webmin seems to have 'lost contact' with the Postfix configuration. If I go to the Postfix module and select 'General options'= , every field is filled with "/usr/sbin/postconf: /usr/lib/mysql/libmysqlclient.so.14: no version information available (required by /usr/sbin/postconf)". See it here: <http://www.labradordata.ca/misc/postfixmess.gif>. I'm not using mysql fo= r Postfix (I'm using hash). Meanwhile, Postfix itself seems fine; mail is delivered as usual. There is nothing in /var/webmin/miniserv.error to give a clue what happen= ed. This is the second time in a few days this has occurred. I'm at a loss to understand what's happening. Last time I resorted to uninstalling Postfix and reinstalling, after which everything was OK (until now). Any ideas, anyone? Running CentOS 4, Webmin 1.310, Virtualmin 3.30.gpl. Doug |
