Ah, but Jamie, I'm not thrilled with Google compiling all the user demographics with my traffic. I do the work and spend the money. I like the AWStats, it's a great selling point. ;-) Dan Long From: "Jamie Cameron" <jca...@we...> To: Webmin users list <web...@li...> Copies to: Date sent: Sat, 02 Dec 2006 16:46:29 -0800 (PST) Subject: Re: [webmin-l] webalizer replaced by awffull in Mandriva 2007 Send reply to: Webmin users list <web...@li...> <mailto:web...@li...?subject=unsubscribe> <mailto:web...@li...?subject=subscribe> Keywords: [ Double-click this line for list subscription options ] On 2/Dec/2006 04:23 Thomas Leavitt wrote .. > > > Message: 7 > > Date: Fri, 01 Dec 2006 14:27:42 -0800 (PST) > > From: "Jamie Cameron" <jca...@we...> > > Subject: Re: [webmin-l] webalizer replaced by awffull in Mandriva 2007 > > To: Webmin users list <web...@li...> > > Message-ID: <116...@ww...> > > > > On 1/Dec/2006 14:13 Thomas Leavitt wrote .. > > > >> Webalizer is no longer being packaged for distribution by Mandriva's > >> maintainers, > >> instead, it has been replaced by AWFFull: > >> > >> *"Webalizer* is a great weblog analysis program but hasn't been going > >> anywhere in recent years. Yeah, it sounds like awstats is the really only well maintained and commonly distributed option at the moment .. unless webalizer extended or one of the other webalizer follow-ons is included with a large number of operating systems. Actually, I'm beginning to think that running your own log analysis is not such a good idea in the first place - sites like Google Analytics do a great job. Perhaps I should add an option to Virtualmin to automatically put a Google Analytics <script> section on each web page... - Jamie ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Take Surveys.
