[webmin-l] Can't stop BIND

Greetings,

We've been running Webmin 1.290 on OS X Server 10.4.7 for several 
months now, using it exclusively to configure and maintain BIND, and 
it's been working fine. The other day, though, BIND stopped 
responding to requests to stop or restart the server. If we click 
"Stop Name Server", when the next page in Webmin comes up, the button 
is still labelled "Stop ..." instead of being renamed to "Start Name 
Server". Also, rndc shows that named is still running. I haven't seen 
any errors in system.log or named.log.

Anyone have an idea of what might be going on, or how to troubleshoot 
it? Thanks.
