Thanks for your quick response. I wasn't actually clear about the situation. I'm using IMAP and trying to save to the .Sent as individual messages similar to how a mail client would. Isn't the lock file only necessary for mbox? I did try your suggestions, but get the same error message. I feel like I'm missing something fundamental. Thanks for your time!
