I wonder does win32 see the share but not let you in because FC3 is on a different workgroup name, check the workgroup name with your windows system, making MSHOME the same as the linux one or whatever, just match the workgroup, I think windows lets you see other workgroups but will not let you in if your not part of that workgroup, hence why you can see the share but not enter (if you are sure you have all rights to theses areas) - tho it does still sound like a netbios block to me due to your firewall(s), normaly the folder/share is also seen no problem but you can't enter it when zonealarm etc is blocking one side of the network/traffic Is XP runing its own built in Firewall? I know you can right mouse somewhere (network connections, then your device thats using the network) and there should be area to untic the built in firewall, just incase it has netbios protected as default for local movment. jeff, > Thanks for the suggestion.
