Thanks for the suggestion. I use a Sonicwall firewall and both the FC3
box and my AD Lan is behind that. Any other suggestions?

It might be as simple as your windows system not allowing incoming
traffic, if you have zonealarm etc, you must TRUST the local area
zone/IP for your linux system, - ZoneAlarm defo stops linux/win32 shares
etc by default unless trusted. I would say this is the same for all
'Software based firewalls'
