In fact, many commands like quotaon/quotaoff won't enable quotas unless they can find an entry in /etc/fstab. I strongly recommend using it where you can, and only using a custom script to mount filesystems that cannot be handled by /etc/fstab for some reason .. otherwise you are re-inventing the wheel :) - Jamie |
