If there's someone to help regarding SpamCop black list? I tried to explain to them that they are accusing my server for spam based on false header. Here's an example: > Received: from rabbit.sajam.co.yu ([217.24.18.162]) > [trap servername] with SMTP; 13 Apr 2006 09:xx:xx -0700 > Received: from [217.24.178.93] (helo=vlxskz) > by rabbit.sajam.co.yu with smtp (Exim 4.43) > id x; Thu, 13 Apr 2006 18:xx:xx +0200 > Subject: convivial heels Here is their explanation: > The above headers are from a spam to the spamtraps. The top header shows our > server receiving the spam from 217.24.18.162. The bottom header is forged. Every time I asked them to send me a copy and every time below our address there was a line like this one, two days ago: Received: from [217.24.178.93] (helo=vlxskz) The first numbers are always 217.24 but other two varies. Also a text after 'helo=' varies. Above address is from Russia and several more addresses also. One was from Iran, one from Turkey etc. Not one message carries my server's stamp. A message samples was spam by content. I was looking in ALL logs on my server but I've found nothing! Not a single trace of address or text related to the sample SpamCop sent to me. Since lots of servers use SpamCop's list we were in problem for more than a month. Every other day we are on the list. The problem is that they don't want to remove address from the list upon a request. They set 24 hrs cycle automatic removal. 1. My question is how can I be sure that they are not trying to sell me a protection? 2. Is it possible to sent a message through a server WITHOUT A TRACE? 3. If it's possible, how can I prevent that? 4. Is there a tool to check that? Please help if possible! Regards to all, P. Andjelic P.S. As I reported to SpamCop so many spam I asked them is it possible that I am a victim of some spamer revenge? They said it's not. I'm not sending spam samples any more... |
