Due to the sheer number of people using the service it isn't practical to request all users reset their password.

We noticed that when Virtualmin does a backup of the domains it hosts it includes information for each mail account, along with a seemingly encrypted password. As Virtualmin can restore backups it seems there is already the capability for it to decrypt the password from the mail_user's file.

We are looking for method to decrypt the password to it's original value, it can be an extension of Virtualmin or even a shell script.

Any help with this task is very much appreciated.

Jason

|
