I had the same problem. This won't help you with the issue of not wanting to do it by hand, but does document the workaround: From Jamie on 2/18: ------------------------------- I looked into this some more, and found the cause of this problem - the sending server isn't properly getting the UDP port to send to from it's own configuration. The work-around is to add the line listen=[Your Port] to the file /etc/webmin/servers/config on the sending system. -----Original Message----- From: web...@li... I am trying to get the broadcast and/or scan for servers to use the port I am using. It seems that it will only use the default port number. I have 35 servers I would like to add to the configuration and don’t want to do it by hand. The port in miniserv.conf is set to 30000 and “listen” is set to 30000. Under Webmin configuration Ports and Addresses Listen on IPs and ports → any address ……..Specific port 30000 Listen for broadcasts on UDP port → 30000 Web server hostname → work out from browser. What else needs to be changed to allow the scan and broadcast for servers to use port 30000 Mark Wolf UNIX/Linux System Administrator ESCO Corporation Office 503-778-6278 Cell 503-703-6671 Choose Linux or....
