Hi Mark, The only solution is to select a different username prefix on the domain = creation form. If you choose something only a few characters long, you wo= n't run into this problem when creating mailboxes. Or you could switch to Linux, which has a much longer maximum username le= ngth :-) - Jamie -----Original Message----- From: Mark Adams <ma...@ac...> Subj: [webmin-l] Creating Mailboxes Date: Thu 2 Mar 2006 7:55 am Size: 1K To: web...@li... Hi, I'm using Webmin 1.180 on FreeBSD 5.3 I've just added a new virtual .org domain where the domain name is 13 characters long. When I try to add a user to this domain if get the following error :- Failed to save mailbox : The username yyyyy-xxxxxxxxxxxxx is longer that the maximum allowed on this system (16 characters) yyyyy being the username and xxxxxxxxxxxxx being the domain. Is there anyway around this issue? --=20 Mark Adams | Computer Systems =20 Acemake Computers | Network Support "Taming Technology" | Bespoke Programming ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.Net email is sponsored by xPML, a groundbreaking scripting langua= ge that extends applications into web and mobile media.
