Hi Mark, There is no built-in editor for the /etc/shells file, but it is just a te= xt file you can edit manually using the File Manager module. Just add a s= ingle line containing /bin/false. - Jamie -----Original Message----- From: Mark Adams <ma...@ac...> Subj: [webmin-l] FTP problems Date: Thu 2 Mar 2006 8:26 am Size: 1K To: web...@li... I have a problem with ftp, trying up upload web pages to public_html for my virtual domains. When I log in as the virtual domain owner - I seem unable to list directory contents and can never upload files. It's like I don't have the correct permissions for the directories, but it would appear I do. The only way I have been able to upload files is via the java file manager. Tonight I did a configuration check and noticed the following message Shell /bin/false for FTP users is not included in /etc/shells, which may = prevent FTP access. This looks like it might indicate a cause of the problem. How do I correct this from inside of Webmin. --=20 Mark Adams | Computer Systems =20 Acemake Computers | Network Support "Taming Technology" | Bespoke Programming ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.Net email is sponsored by xPML, a groundbreaking scripting langua= ge that extends applications into web and mobile media.
