just edit the /etc/shells file in the file viewer and add the line /bin/false From: Mark Adams <ma...@ac...> Organization: Acemake Ltd To: web...@li... Subject: [webmin-l] FTP problems Send reply to: web...@li... Date sent: Wed, 1 Mar 2006 22:08:50 +0000 [ Double-click this line for list subscription options ] I have a problem with ftp, trying up upload web pages to public_html for my virtual domains. When I log in as the virtual domain owner - I seem unable to list directory contents and can never upload files. It's like I don't have the correct permissions for the directories, but it would appear I do. The only way I have been able to upload files is via the java file manager. Tonight I did a configuration check and noticed the following message Shell /bin/false for FTP users is not included in /etc/shells, which may prevent FTP access. This looks like it might indicate a cause of the problem. How do I correct this from inside of Webmin. -- Mark Adams | Computer Systems Acemake Computers | Network Support "Taming Technology" | Bespoke Programming ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.Net email is sponsored by xPML, a groundbreaking scripting language that extends applications into web and mobile media.
