Yes that is true for a single server. I create the zone bindtest.com with 3 default entries. After pressing the "apply changes" the zone file does indeed get created. After the zone file is created though, the master sends notifies to my sl= aves. They in turn respond with "not authoritive" as they do not have a copy of= the zone file yet and cannot check the SOA entry.
