Fixed it.
I completely removed the module.
Then I moved the virtual-server directory (cd /usr/local/etc/webmin; mv 
virtual-server/ virtual-server.bak) and installed clean from the latest 
version on the website.
So there must have been a problem either with the port I installed or 
the upgrade to the latest version (done from within webmin).
Don't know what the problem was that caused it but thankfully it is gone 
now.
