There was a question back some time ago, about what we'd like to see, where we'd like to go with Webmin. As a hosting provider, the things that are 'constant' from our customers are mostly mail related. Address changes, add a box / remove a box, mail forwarding, autoresponders and an interface for reading mail or deleting mail when Outlook hangs on those corrupted emails. Usermin is very close to filling this need (most of the tools are there but it's just too geeky). If it could tie in with Virtualmin with regards to the number of allowed email accounts, add remove mailboxes/aliases... quotas and such.... that would be great. The problem is the terminology is way over the heads of or totally confusing to our 'average user'. I would greatly like to see a 'simpleminded' dumb'User'min. As a provider, we could turn off many of the more advanced modules, which are an invitation to mess something up for most of our people. I will volunteer myself and my partner to make suggestions with regards to the interface should you wish to consider this proposal. This would provide a solution to the biggest support issue we deal with. Best, John Hinton |
