Hi Dale, Have you tried using the Apply Configuration button on the main page of the BIND module instead? It should force a transfer of all slave zones .. When you click it, check for new entries in /var/log/messages from BIND to see if the zone transfer failed for any reason. - Jamie -----Original Message----- From: Dale-List <li...@eh...> Subj: [webmin-l] can't get bind within Webmin to do a zone transfer from DNS on Windows Date: Wed 26 Oct 2005 1:53 am Size: 1K To: web...@li... Hello, I have been pulling what is left of my hair out here :) Currently our primary DNS is running on a windows box using MS DNS. I am trying to get our secondary setup on a Linux box running BIND and Webmin. I have allowed the IP of our Linux box in the windows DNS setup to do a zone transfer, yet I get the following error when I do a force update from within the bind module in Webmin: NDC command failed: rndc: connect failed: connection refused No entries in the system logs. I am not sure where to check from here. I do not believe there are any firewall issues involved here (although I could be very wrong).
