One solution would be to tell webmin to use a directory other than /tmp for temp files. For example, if you have plenty of free space on /var you could use this by adding the following line to /etc/webmin/config :
tempdir=/var/.webmin

I never really thought of allocating space for /tmp and now I run out of space trying the backups. Whatelse is out there to try and revert this problem?
