That is odd, because on my system with the exact same settings, it works
OK!
Try editing the file /usr/libexec/usermin/changepass/changepass.cgi and
deleting the entire blocks that start with :
if ($config{'mysql'} && &foreign_check("mysql")) {
and
if ($config{'mailbox'} && &foreign_check("mailbox")) {
