I'd like to setup a DNS server just for my servers behind our firewalls. I = would like this server to provide behind-the-firewall addresses so our serv= ers wouldn't have to rely on the public DNS servers which we also run, elim= inating host file entries and resolving some requests that don't use the ho= st file, and to avoid going out and back in through our firewalls for our o= wn requests. Are there any suggestions (gotchas) on what might be useful when setting th= is up through Webmin? I only want our servers to consult the public DNS ser= vers for any domains not owned by us, but keep all requests for our domains= on our 10.0.0 network. I know this is a common setup and is probably not going to cause me any pro= blems, but I would like to know mostly of any Webmin things that I need to = be aware of as I go through the setup. I plan on changing all of the resolv= .conf files on the servers, adding this new server to the top, and mostly j= ust adding the master domain and reverse files from the real public servers= , and then changing the IPs. I do not want any transfers to or from this ne= w server. The new server will not be registered anywhere. Any suggestions and tips would be appreciated. Steve Campbell cam...@cn...
