Hi,
Been using Usermin for a few years now to allow users to change their
password on our Linux-Samba domain and its been working perfectly.
However I've just noticed that when using the latest version 1.160
that we are getting a failed message ....
Failed to change {domain name} domain password : Failed to create
/home/{userid}/.usermin : No such file or directory
The password is changed ok. I've tracked this down to the fact that
our users don't have home directories. It looks as though Usermin
wants to create a .usermin/mailbox in their home directory. Is this
behaviour by design and can we disable it in some way? I'm also not
sure which version of Usermin this started happening as someone else
has been managing the box and the upgrades and didn't notice it.
If this can't be configured then I guess my option is create the users
home directories.
Cheers
Rob
