Yes.  Dovecot is not a "drink the Kool-aid" kind of server, the way 
Cyrus is.  You don't have to use an alternate mail spool format, no 
outside databases are used, and nothing complicated goes on in a Dovecot 
environment.

I use Dovecot with Maildir spools on all of my servers, and Usermin 
works very well.
