I'm unfamiliar with WU-FTP and PROFTPD. I went to the WU-FTP download site @ http://www.wu-ftpd.org/ ... which says: The current version of WU-FTPD is 2.6.2 and is available from ftp.wu-ftpd.org But when I clicked on this dowload page it took me to some strange looking page that I couldn't fathom. Getting back to WS_FTP LE .... From the WS_FTP User's Guide @ http://www.ipswitch.com/Support/WS_FTP-Server/guide/v3/ch4_remotemgt4.html Idle. The number of seconds the session has been idle. "Idle" means the server has not received a command or data from the client and has not sent a response or data to the client for the reported number of seconds. You can control the amount of idle time allowed for a session by setting a Timeout value in the host's properties. It refers to the "host's properties". Doesn't that mean WEBMIN in this case? I used to have all my websites hosted by some Australian company a year ago and, if I remember correctly, they made some adjustment at their end which kept my WS_FTP connected for over an hour if it was idle. That's why I was wondering whether there's a way to do a simliar thing via WEBMIN. Best Wishes, PRODOS http://CelebrateCapitalism.ORG "Why? Because I own my life!" |
