The name says it all - I get Access Denied error for my IP address.

This is a new Ubuntu 7.10 server.

In  the past I'd simply add the 192.168.0.0/24 to the allow= line in /etc/miniserv.conf

I cannot get this to work for some reason. It works from the server, not from the workstation.

As a test I went in to webmin configuration and allowed all adresses. Even then I cannot get in via 192.168.0.x

no ipchains or any other firewall rules I can think of.

What else determines whether access is allowed from a certain IP adress???

All other services from that same IP adress to the server appear to be working.

If I use http instead of https, it does give me the message to use the https address and the link, but clicking on that gives me the access denied error also.

    Regards,
    Ed.

      No answers?

Is this simply un-fixable and I have to accept it?

Should I file a bug report?

      Anybody?

      Regards,
      Ed.

"As a test I went in to webmin configuration and allowed all adresses" - and how exactly did you do that?
