I need to retain and inspect my bounce notifications (aka non-delivery receipts).
I am looking at the Virtualmin Virtual Servers list (Version 3.61.gpl, master admin mode).
I sense that one solution is to setup a second "all mailboxes" alias to deliver all received mail to a catchall@ mailbox. The firehose approach, but I can turn it off and on as needed. Am I even close to solving my issue with this approach?
I am using civimail. Bounced civimail is my issue. Several single letter aliases are setup to forward to civimail. Opt-out and unsubscribe responses apparently come in on VERP addresses that start with those same letters, and I suspect the bounce notifications do also, possibly to the "b" alias. Once I can confirm, I would adapt the above solution to that alias. Again, am I moving in the right direction?

My VPS provider pointed me in the right direction. For me the bounce notifications accumulate at var/spool/mail/civimail/mail/INBOX.Processed bounces. I was able to figure out how to use virtualmin to access this. The civimail "user" isn't in the same area as the user accounts I set up for domain email, which is what stymied me. Armed with the NDRs, I was able to persuade att to remove the block. My VPS provider tells me I may have to do this repeatedly until ATT's left hand recognizes waht its right hand is doing. However, I feel I have my problem well in hand, and learned a lot to boot.
