hey,

I'm setting up a login for someone's website so they can use Usermin to edit/manage their own site from their directory.

File Manager seems fine but when I hit rename is says permission denied.  The file is a basic html file.  I'm otherwise able to edit and save the file and the changes show up on the site.  I'm also able to reset permissions from 644 to 755 even 777 and still error permission denied.

file was renamed to www-data group from users (if that was the error) and still cannot be renamed.

tried renaming from shell access in webmin as root and only then did it work.

where / what settings are needed to allow the person logging into their own directory access to rename their own files?  what is a recommended structure of permissions with www-data / users groups?  Any references are appreciated.

thanks
