Hi, i installed MySql via webmin and yum but i found that the version is only 5.1 and now mysql is at 5.7. I did find this https://www.virtualmin.com/node/33066 in which says there is no way to update the version. Is there a plan to provide some way of updating the current MySql with the software. What happens going forward when they totally deprecate the version. There has to be some plan to deal with this i would hope.

I would suggest using MariaDB. It's a fork of MySQL leaving the Oracle involvement behind. (just like LibreOffice vs OpenOffice).

I ended up installing an upgraded version of mysql manually.
Anyone come across this? Was flagged and reported by one of my script developers.
