Hi,
How does Webmin determine if a process is running or not? Does it just check for the name in the process list?

The reason I'm asking is because I'm running Qmail in the daemontools (a rather vanilla setup) and while I can configure the start and stop commands to work with the daemontools, Webmin will always only offer a button to stop the process. I cannot restart it once I've stopped it (Webmin still displays the stop button).

Also, the Qmail module will  not show up in the "Status->Services" section of  "System Information".

I suspect that Webmin confuses the supervise process for the actual service therefore always believing the service is running?

Can I somehow tweak Webmin to ignore the supervise processes? How do I get Qmail to show up in the status section with start/stop icons?

Cheers,
Christian
