System: Bitnami Testlink stac (Webmin 1.680; Ubuntu 12.04, MySQL 5.5.37)

Although the MySQL server database backups are working, I am not getting an email notification even though I have chosen for it to email me on all backups. The aim is to confirm the scheduling functionality is working and then just email on failure.

I have checked that the webmin mail functionality is working (Webmin Configuration -> Sending Email) and can send a test email fine to the same address as I have configured in the MySQL server. So the server as a whole seems fine to be able to send emails (via external SMTP server on my domain), it just doesn’t seem to be working for the MySQL Db server.

I am a bit of a newbie with linux etc. so am unsure of where exactly to look for any logs showing me what might be the issue, but I have spent a few hours browsing around Webmin, reading the documentation, having a mosey around the server using the cmd line (no GUI installed) and browsing the internet for any advice. So far I have found nothing to indicate there are any known issues with this functionality, so perhaps it is just a config issue I have. Please could someone advise on what logs I would need to look at to figure out what is going wrong, or if there is a known issue tell me of that too.

    Thanks
    R

Not sure why, but after I went into the "Scheduled Cron Jobs" page and saw my item listed there, I clicked "Run Now" and it worked. Ever since then it has worked, so I dont know exactly what happened, but if you are having something similar then try what I did.
