I have tried to install webmin and the perl binaries are located in this directory.

/usr/perl/bin/perl

I created a /usr/local/bin/perl/perl softlink, but it says it failed to test the perl script.

  I had to install the newer perl. The one that comes with Solaris9 should be able to be used.
