#567 file-manager cuts long files
When I edit a very long file and save it afterwards it overwrites
passages in the middle of the file and a file viewer like less only
shows lines of @-signs instead of the real content in this passages.
but te content above and below this passages is the content it
should be. this doesn't happen to every file I am saving but only to a
few. I detected this bug only in version 0.990 of webmin, in lower
versions this didn't happen. so could you please take a look at the
edit function of your file-manager.

By default I am running Opera (version 6.01) but I checked it out also with
other browsers.

How long are these files? I have been able to edit some text
files of
around 100kb with no problems ..

well one file where i got this problem, was the
/etc/apache/httpd.conf (apache-confiiguration) or
/etc/squid.conf. also editing /etc/rc.config.d/firewall2.rc.config
resulted in a cut file. i also checked this on differentd
computers with different browsers. it's always the same.

What operating system are you running webmin on, and is
there any
proxy server between your browser and the webmin server?

The systems where I am running webmin are all windows-based
(win2000). A Proxy is between the client and the webmin-server. but I also
checked it on a system without a proxy.

I'm running a webmin 1.210 on TSL server and have the same
problem. Webmin cuts files when they are bigger than approx
50 kb. A 100 kb file can then be 44 kb or 55 kb or whatever
but never above 60 kb. I'm using webmin from win xp machine
with IE 6.
