Hi,
Virtualmin was running a backup and at the time the server had a problem and crashed and had to be rebooted.
After reboot the ID file under /etc/webmin/virtual-server/domains is blank for that virtual server id #
It appears that when a backup is running this file is updated and when it is done the file is updated.
Can we restore this file from a previous day backup or should we import the server again into webmin?
Why would the scheduled backup have to update this file each time it runs daily?
Thank You,
Eric
Virtualmin was running a backup on this server ID when the server crashed. Hence webmin had opened this file but the backup never finished.
Thank You,
Hello, Eric.
What do you mean exactly by "server was crashed" - what crashed exactly?
You can restore just the Virtualmin config file for a domain with a command:
Thanks for quick reply!
The server had to be power cycled hard reboot. Instead of doing your method above I replaced that ID file from a previous backup the only issue is it is older so it shows like bandwidth from August but appears to have all of the settings for the virtual server now?
Why would the scheduled backup alter this file while it is running?
Thanks
FYI sorry We restored the ID file from a backup of the /etc/webmin folder manually outside of virtualmin.
