Hello good Morning,

There is an error creating a Virtual Host using the Apache Web Server Module

When creating a new Virtual Server [image1] you quickly return to the main page [image2]

If I search now Virtual Host does not appear [image3] [image4]

I have observed that a config file with a strange name is created in the / etc / apache2 / sites-enabled / folder
[image5][image6]

This seems to be the error, inside the file with the strange name it seems that everything has been created well.

I am waiting for your answer,

If you need more information you can let me know.

Thank you!
All the best,

Did the hostname you entered for the new virtual host contain any non-ASCII characters?

Pass equally without non-ASCII characters I have tried to create a virtual host named prueba.com, it still does not work If you need more information you can let me know Thank you! All the best

I see the problem - you need to leave the first field set to "any address", and enter prueba.com in the fourth field "server name".

Testing as you tell me, it does something new, a message appears that the virtual host already exists [image1] [image2]

I have checked in the / etc / apache2 folder and a strange file called sites-available has been created and inside it is the created virtualhost [image3]

And it still does not appear in the list of existing hosts [image4] [image5]

I don't know if this is my configuration error [image6] or the program, but I cannot find an explanation, I have checked the module configuration and it seems correct

A Virtual Server can also be created normally from Virtualmin and the associated virtual host for the new domain is successfully created.

Everything seems to point to a bug in the Apache module or a bad configuration.

Do you have any ideas? You can ask me what you need to discover the problem.

      Thank you!
      A greeting,

In the sites-enabled directory (which should be alongside sites-available) , is there a link to the file for the domain in sites-enabled ?

      Good,
Sorry for the delay in answering, but I have not had to do tests these days

For some reason it started working fine and I wanted to find out why now, but I can't tell you for sure, now it correctly creates the file in the folder etc / apache2 / sites-enabled
      [image1] [image2]

Possibly it all started with a failed domain name change, but I can't tell you for sure, these days I deleted some renamed domain servers

If for some reason I manage to get the error again, I will tell you

Thank you very much for your time.

      You do a great job!
      All the best,
