There's a 'file share' colled PROVA, a group PROVA and a user
PROVA.

His password is PRVOA.

In the 'Security and Access Control' of the share the only 'Valid
groups' and 'Read/write groups' is PROVA.

The purpose is to grant the access to the share PROVA to the
users of the group PROVA and to no one other.

But something does not work properly and so any windows user,
like PIRCAZ unknown by the linux/webmin/samba system, can
work on the share PROVA, just using the password PRVOA of
the user PROVA.

Anything PIRCAZ do on the share is done like he is PROVA.

By the try I have done I think that this happen because the share
name and the user name are equal.

System: SuSE Linux 7.3

Webmin version: 0.980

Samba version: 2.21

Thank You

Do you have 'guest access' turned on under 'Security and
    Access Control'
for the share? If so, any user would be allowed to connect ..

    No, is turned off.

The strange thing is that if I change user name or share
name to make them different, password checking works good.

But please listen what samba-bugs@samba.org wrote me:

    >This is not a bug. etc.
    >Please redirect help requests to samba@samba.org mailing
    list!

you may want have been set into it.

So they say it's not a bug..

    thank you very much, bye
