another issue: webmin proposes a very outdated path to php: "/etc/php4". May this should be adapted (discoverd in install process?)

Amazing, I always wanted to meet someone from the future! How is life in 2024? :--)
I see what is causing you issues. On Webmin 1.950 it will be fixed automatically, as we will detect Ubuntu 20.04 properly upon installation process.
What you can do now, is to go to Webmin Configuration/Operating System and Environment
** and set Internal OS code used by Webmin to 11.0 and Operating system according to Webmin to 20.04**.
Note: I would do complete purge and reinstall of Webmin 1.950 when it's out to avoid further issues.
hey, live is ok in these times. I am earning now 25k$ a month, so i can afford to buy a beer, once in a week. And the aera trump will be over soon...
