#5208 Webmin 1.890 GUI does not show the correct version of Ubuntu

Webmin 1.890 GUI does not show the correct version of Ubuntu once I upgraded from 18.04 LTS to 18.10 LTS. It still shows 18.04.

I did find a place to change it in the Webmin config. I just assumed that it would auto-update. Thanks for the info!

I changed in manually on the 'Operating System and Environment' but there was no button on the page to update the detected operating system. Webmin did indentify the correct OS.
There was no button using webmin 1.900

Check that your /etc/debian_version file shows the expected version number.

my etc/debian_version says "buster/sid" I guess thats the wrong version :-)

just saying there is no update button

What do your /etc/os-release and /etc/issue files contain?
