The bug is still there in Webmin 1.881... Although I have never had it in any other versions...

Not sure if there is a simple typo somewhere in pl scripts (no space or \r\n) where the header is not separated from the body because this header was not terminated correctly and the body comes straight after it... but then again... that may not be the case because sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't...

Can you check if in your /etc/webmin/miniserv.conf file, you have the logheaders=1 line? If so, remove it, and run /etc/webmin/restart

Nope, I do not havy any logheaders=1 lines in my /etc/webmin/miniserv.conf at all but instead I have a lot of entries like this in miniserv.error:

[30/Mar/2018:04:25:34 +0200] /postgresql/ : Bad Header
[30/Mar/2018:04:23:25 +0200] /ldap-server/ : Bad Header
and so on and so forth...

This is really unusual, as I haven't seen this error on any of my test systems.

I have exactly same problem. All the time I get Error - Bad Header and I have no logheaders=1 in /etc/webmin/miniserv.conf. I run Webmin 1.881 RPM on openSUSE 42.3, I have been observing this problem for several versions. Interestingly, Usermin 1.740 works well.

I also have the same problem on one of my servers.
The only one which shows this problem is running webmin 1.881 on a debian 9
I don't have any problem on 3 others running the same webmin, 2 on debian 8 and one on ubuntu 14.04.2

  Continuously i get a "Bad Header" with webmin. Already switched theme from Authenic theme to gray-framed theme. problem stays. Some times there it's possible to work a few minutes without problems.
  Server restart/ webmin restart doesn't help. This server was running ok for a year now and this error pops-up every time. Also the error log is full with bad header error messages.

Same issue on Ubuntu 14.04.5 LTS (GNU/Linux 3.13.0-143-generic x86_64)
It started around september and still present in the current version.

You've probably heard enough of this, but can confirm this happens for me on Debian 9, Ubuntu 16.04, Ubuntu 18.04, and CentOS 7.5.

However updating to 1.882 seems to have made Webmin significantly more reliable. Thank you. :)

Yes thank you, I can confirm that updating to 1.882 resolved this issue perfectly. (1.883 too.) I've deployed this on:

10x Debian 9 VPSes running on VMWare ESXi

3x Debian 8 VPSes running on VMWare ESXi

1x CentOS 7.5 VPS running on VMWare ESXi

2x Debian 9 VPSes running on Oracle VirtualBox

2x Ubuntu 18.04 VM running on Oracle VirtualBox

1x Ubuntu 16.04 VM running on Oracle VirtualBox

4x Debian 9 VPSes running on KVM

1x Ubuntu 16.04 VPS running on KVM

Webmin is working much more smoothly on all of those. Thanks again good sir. :)

Where was the problem? I am getting lost in numbers here. Do you have two versions in development? 1.882 and 1.883? I've been running 1.881 and the problem is still there.

This issue was fixed in 1.882, so of course you'll still experience this issue in 1.881.

  right. the latest version is 1.881, the development version is 1.883. where is the version number 1.882? I cannot seem to find it anywhere.... could you send the exact link for 1.882, please?
