#5002 Webmin on port 10000 timing out, but is still reachable.
After the last update, Webmin only is reachable on port 10000 from localhost. Prior to the update, it was working normally.
Running on Ubuntu 16.04 on a Digial Ocean droplet.
I am able to reach it via nmap remotely, just times out every time I try to reach it remotely. SSH port forwarding to it works.

After some more research, I was able to determine it has something to do witht he Let's Encrypt SSL cert and possibly the previous issue with the library failing. I switch domains/certs and I am able to access it once again remotely.
A certificate problem wouldn't cause localhost connections to work but remote connections to fail.
What error do you get in your browser?
I think I'm having the exact same problem. After updating to 1.850 I can't access my Webmin on http. Requesting via https is working, but via http my browser waits forever for a reponse. I tried setting reroute non SSL to SSL, but to no avail.
Webmin can only be in one of http or https mode - so if you have SSL enabled (which is the default), you aren't guaranteed to be able to use an http:// URL
Having the same issue. Connection timeouts to webmin over HTTPS to port 10000. Using wget locally on the server gives me the login page, but unable to reach it remotely.
Most recent changes were updating webmin this past weekend (I update monthly), and installing a new LetsEncrypt certificate on one of my vhosts. I wonder if Brian is on to something.
/var/webmin/miniserv.log doesn't show the connection attempt and /var/webmin/miniserv.error isn't logging anything either.
Disregard my previous comment; my problem turned out to be an issue with my external firewall.
