No

Having that set to /home (or /home/) for a group, a member of that group still ends up in /.

The Upload and Download module similarly doesn't respect "Can upload and download files to directories".

Nor does Permission for All Modules > Root Directory for File Chooser have effect here.

Correction: The Upload and Download module does prevent uploading and downloading outside of its assigned directory, although it browses titles everywhere. The File Manager actually allows downloading from outside its assigned directory. Uploading as well.

The Upload and Download module has it's own separate permissions that control which directories you can upload to, set on a per-user basis.

Is there any way to get the new File Manager module to respect what directories it can upload and download to, or even better, which directories it can view? We have users who should have root access, but only to a specific directory branch. The "Allow Access to Directories" feature in the File Manager appears to have no effect.
