Hello !
First of all - thank you for the Webmin !
I just noted an issue what could be a bug.
I use Webmin 1.730 on CentOS 6.6.
On the main Webmin page there is an option for Package Updates what I set up to check updates daily and notify if available.
But I've paid attention it does not work.
Even if I click Refresh Available packages - it says "...found 0 possible updates".
But if I enter in console
yum check-update
I have information about the packages what should be updated.
Please, check from your side and fix if I'm right.
Best regards
Serge
Could be an error in Webmin's version comparison code - what is the package name, old version and new version that "yum check-update" shows?
Thank you for your attention.
But, please, let me 2-3 days more to test properly.
May be I'm wrong with something - because I see that yum check-update shows
Obsoleting Packages (!)
Percona-Server-shared-51.x86_64 5.1.73-rel14.12.624.rhel6 percona-release-x86_64
mysql-libs.x86_64
If I understand in a right way - it now shows me ONLY OBSOLETING PACKAGES in repos, but NO ANY PACKAGES to update.
This is why Webmin ignores it and write me "No packages available to be updated were found." - what is true in my case.
Will write you here later.
Thanks again,
Ok, it sounds like Webmin is working fine then.
YES ! A couple of days later - I see Webmin shows the packages what naturally should be updated.
So that :) I was wrong - there is no any bug with that.
Thanks and regards,
